THE music of Rossini, Mendelssohn and Prokofiev will combine with a strikingly modern composition from Hilperton composer Alastair King at a concert in Bath this month.
Mr King, who is Bath Philharmonia's composer in residence, was the only European finalist in Masterprize 2001, the world's leading composing competition. He will be premiering a reduced version of his overture Irpy at the event, which takes place at the Assembly rooms on November 24.
Tickets, from £10, are available on (01225) 463362.
