Representative sides from the Hellenic and Screwfix Leagues come face to face tonight for the first time in 20 years.
It is hoped that the exhibition match to be held at Yate Town will go some way to settling the long-running debate regarding the relevant strength of each league.
The Hellenic squad appears strong on paper, with many of the league's leading players expected to make an appearance.
Unfortunately, the Screwfix side is a shadow of what might have been assembled, with the 18-man squad largely made up of second flight players.
That said, they may start as narrow favourites.
Hellenic squad from: Goodwin, Webb (Highworth), Stoddart (Fairford), Thomson (Purton), Skeen, McKiness, Slack (Bishop's Cleeve), Taylor (Carterton), M Casey, R Casey (Gloucester Utd), Alder, Murphy (North Leigh), Embling (Shortwood Utd), Thompson, Boyle, Bennett (Yate Town)
Screwfix squad from: Jones, Peckham, Mehew (Brislington), Shepherd (Bishop Sutton), James (Welton), Burns, Micciche, Rowlands (Bath City Res), Miller, Pounder, Salter (Frome Town), Richards, Tisdale (Team Bath), Burr (Shepton Mallet), King (Backwell), Mountford (Odd Down), Curtis (Devizes)
n Melksham Town will not be providing any players for the Screwfix representative team, as they are in Premier Division action this evening.
Robbie Lardner's side will be looking for a swift return to winning ways, after champions Taunton ended their 12 match unbeaten run on Saturday.
Manager Lardner is expected to name an unchanged side for the trip to Bristol Manor Farm tonight.
Much of Melksham's recent progress has been in cup competitions, so Town still occupy 15th in the top division.
Lardner's men do have games in hand though, and a win this evening will lift them above Manor Farm into 13th.
