GRANGE PARK: Another popular railway exhibition will take place at Greendown School in Grange Park this Saturday and Sunday, November 24 and 25. The exhibition will be open from 10am-5pm on both days. Admission is £3.50 for adults, £1.50 children and £2.50 OAPs.

PURTON: The next meeting of the Purton and District Gardeners' Guild is on Tuesday, November 27. It will start at 7.30pm at Bradon Forest School. Speaker Mike Burgess will talk about garden makeovers and a Christmas competition will be launched.
SWINDON: A cracking Christmas event takes place at the Steam museum on Saturday and Sunday, December 1 and 2. Events include meeting Santa and decorating his grotto, a fun hands-on craft session with Gordon Dickinson and traditional festive music. Normal admission charges to the museum, on Kemble Drive, apply, plus an extra cost of £1 to meet Santa and receive a small gift.
SWINDON: Create your own virtual greeting card to send by email. The event, for eight to 13-year-olds, runs from December 8-9 from 10am-4.30pm at the Cre8 Studios. Admission prices range from £18-£26.
SWINDON: Wiltshire Chief Constable Elizabeth Neville is to be guest speaker at a Swindon Council meeting on Thursday. She has been invited to talk about police and safety issues, including domestic violence. The meeting, beginning at 7pm, will be in the Civic Offices, Euclid Street, and members of the public are welcome.
