SERVICE company Endeva, which earlier this year set up its national headquarters in Swindon, today announced plans to take on another 100 workers.

Based at what was the Thornlink Call Centre, Westlea, it is the service and delivery arm of the Boxclever Group, the merged business of Granada Technology and Thorn.

With an annual turnover of £175 million, Endeva has a national distribution centre and 26 regional operations centres.

The company employs more than 4,000 people nationally and 300 in Swindon.

Its marketing manager Rachel Kirsopp said: "We are looking at taking on 100 new staff at all levels in the contact centre because of the new contracts won over the summer.

"They will be joining 120 others in the centre, plus 80 support staff there and 100 head office staff.

"We hope to fill these positions before Christmas to fulfil the new contracts with major retailers and manufacturers, particularly in the area of consumer electronics."

South Swindon MP Julia Drown will visit the offices next week.

Ms Kirsopp said: "She expressed a keen interest in what we are doing at the time and is coming for an update."
