COUNCIL parking officer Tony Wren has been invited to see the mayor after raising £500 for Children in Need.
Dressed in a Pudsey outfit Tony stood at the House of Fraser entrance on the third level of the Brunel North car park and by 6pm had collected £531 for Children in Need.
The 61-year-old's line of patter was so successful he had people up-ending their purses and dropping notes into his bucket.
Swindon's mayor, Coun David Cox, said: "I want to thank him for his efforts.'' in person," said Coun Cox. "I think it's brilliant to see council staff doing this sort of thing."
