CITY player-manager Steve 'Taffy' Richardson is being backed to guide Salisbury off the bottom of the Dr Martens Premier Division despite Saturday's 1-0 loss to Bath City, writes Jeremy Wilson.
Bath boss Alan Pridham admitted his side were lucky to snatch all three points with an 88th minute winner after a stirring Salisbury display.
"We were in the same position not so long ago but have gone on a good run," he said. "Taffy had an outstanding game. Salisbury can turn this around. They are not as bad as their position suggests."
Pridham's assessment was spot on as Richardson was the best outfield player on the pitch in a high-pace battle that Whites could comfortably have won with better finishing.
