IT was third time lucky for Salisbury's Leaden Hall School when planners gave approval last week for a £m-plus project to replace 40-year-old classrooms and a gym.
Two previous attempts by the school to get planning permission for replacement buildings on the ultra-sensitive site in the Cathedral Close were turned down.
But the latest design for the new classrooms and gym, using Douglas Fir timber boarding with the buildings suspended on stilts, pleased planners on Salisbury District Council's city area committee, who gave unanimous approval.
