THE Wiltshire Football Association are investigating claims a member of the Devizes Town under 18 side was hit by an intruder on the pitch.
The incident happened when the 17-year-old was dismissed during his side's Wiltshire FA County Floodlight Youth League clash with Bemerton Heath Harlequins on November 7. Devizes won the match 7-2.
Devizes police were called to the club's Nursteed Road home shortly after 9pm by the boy's father, who alleged his son had been hit.
The complaint was dropped once the police arrived at the ground and the county FA will now deal with the matter at a disciplinary hearing next month.
Devizes under 18s manager Phil Ireson declined to comment until the FA have made their decision.
Club secretary Roy King said: "The referee has put his report in and the Wiltshire FA will decide whether or not there will be disciplinary action."
Wiltshire FA secretary Mike Benson confirmed the matter is being looked into by discipline secretary Malcolm Baldwin.
