VILLAGERS in Heddington will be whisked into the fantasy world of villains, red Indians, nursery rhyme and fairytale characters in a pre-Christmas pantomime treat.
Heddington Amateur Dramatic Society has been rehearsing for many weeks to perfect Jack and Jill's Adventures in Fairytale Land.
Jack and Jill return from their holiday full of tales of adventures. After a fairytale at bedtime the two children go to asleep and fall straight into fairytale land.
They meet Snow White, Captain Hook, and a band of red Indians. They go on to rescue Snow White from the wicked Queen and everyone lives happily ever after.
Co-producer Doug Smart said the pantomime had been great fun for everyone and there was plenty of audience participation included.
"It's a good fairytale with villain, great battles, a rescue and a happy ending," he said.
The play opened to a full house last night and will be staged again tonight, tomorrow and Saturday.
All performances will start at 7.30pm and there will be a second performance on Saturday at 2pm.
The panto is in the Charles Willis Hall, Heddington, and tickets are still available from Dot Smart on (01249) 814004, The Ivy Inn and Centre News in Calne.
