JUDY Dain, the mother of TV chef Peter Vaughan, will demonstrate that she is an accomplished gourmet in her own right.
Mrs Dain, the proprietor of the Healthy Life in the Little Brittox, Devizes, will give a cookery demonstration at the beginning of Devizes Development Partnership's annual meeting in the town hall on Tuesday, November 27, starting at 7.15pm.
She will be demonstrating recipes using local ingredients like trout from Warminster and bacon from Sandridge Farm, Bromham.
After the business part of the meeting there will be a buffet and entertainment provided by pianist Marcus Toyne.
Partnership chairman Alex Duffey said: "We want to get as many of our members along to the meeting as possible as well as attracting other people who might want to join. There is so much going on in Devizes at the moment and the DDP is at the forefront of it."
As part of Devizes' pilot status in the Government's Market and Coastal Towns Initiative, the town has won an initial £70,000 funding. Some of it will be spent on the partnership's 'quick win' projects like new gateway signs to the town which, it is hoped, will be in place early in the New Year.
Peter Vaughan is a recognised TV chef following appearances on cable television.
