A CONCERT by Marlborough College symphony and chamber orchestras is expected to help raise £2,000 for orphans in poverty-stricken Bulgaria.
The public school is hoping to send the money towards the completion of a new home for small groups of children in Plovdiv, Bulgaria's second largest city.
Students and staff at the college have already raised £1,500 and hope the proceeds from the concert in the new Ellis Theatre on Sunday December 2, at 8pm, will raise the remaining £500.
The concert will include the overture from West Side Story and extracts from Dvorak's New World.
Tickets costing £10 are available from Sue Tabor on (01672) 892481.
