CORE-US, a light-hearted singing group for women from the Marlborough area, is looking for a new leader.
The group was formed two years ago by Janet McClean and Polly Carson. They realised there were a number of women in the area who, like them, enjoyed singing for pleasure and would welcome the idea of joining a choir.
Core-Us, which put on its first performance in Mrs Carson's garden at Alton Barnes, has grown from the initial two members to 24.
Their latest performance was at All Cannings School on Saturday when they were the support act at a Soul Commotion concert sponsored by Southern Arts.
Part of its success, say members, was due to the leadership given by professional singer and music teacher Kait Gray who is moving to Ireland leaving the group desperate to find a new leader.
One of the singers, Deena Newton-Cox from Marlborough, said: "The new leader will not only need to be a gifted musician capable of arranging three-part harmonies but must have a good sense of humour and immense patience.
"The majority of members have no previous musical experience and cannot read music, but together they produce an uplifting, soulful sound that is filled with passion."
Members of Core-Us range from teenagers to pensioners and new members will be welcome. Anyone who could offer their services as paid leader, or women wanting to join Core-Us, is asked to ring Mrs Carson on (01672) 851119.
