HEROIN addict Brian Chubb has been freed on bail after admitting two thefts while on probation and failing to turn up at court.
The 20-year-old was on two probation orders at the time of his second shoplifting offence in October, magistrates were told.
Now he has admitted being in breach of both the orders as well as pleading guilty to two counts of theft from supermarkets including Aldi in Stratton on August 1 and the Co-op in Rodbourne Road last month.
After being arrested and charged with both matters he was bailed to appear before magistrates on October 25 but failed to attend.
Magistrates adjourned the case to December 17 for pre-sentence reports to be prepared and released Chubb on conditional bail.
