TEN Salisbury postal workers are celebrating a first class return on their £20 stake after scooping Saturday's jackpot in the National Lottery.
The men, nine of whom are based at the Fisherton Street sorting office and one of whom runs a post office, matched the six numbers, 12, 19, 30, 34, 37 and 41, and landed £3,530,184 - that's £353,018.40 each.
They shared the £7m-plus jackpot with one other winner.
The lucky winners are Dave Moore, who has been running the syndicate since it started seven years ago, Brian Hammond, Martyn Young, Eugene Maidment, Andrew Henchy, Gilies Cox, Neil Dyke, Bryan Sloman and Terry Safe. The tenth winner asked for no publicity.
All the members, who range from 30 to nearly 60, say they will carry on working and that it won't change their lives.
They don't know whose line won - and don't want to know.
Dave said he was at home with his wife Pamela on Saturday night watching the draw on TV when he realised the syndicate had won.
"I had to get Pamela to double check the numbers just to make sure I hadn't imagined it," he said. "I then phoned Martyn and he and I contacted the rest of the syndicate.
