THIS month I supported Tommy's, the baby charity, in its challenge to get the nation to Go Dotty on Baby Day and raise £75,000 in order to help save lives.
One in five pregnancies ends in a miscarriage, one in 200 babies are stillborn and 52,500 babies are born prematurely in the UK every year. Tommy's is the only charity dedicated to finding out why these problems occur.
Baby Day, sponsored by Jump, was a chance to have serious fun for a serious cause and people came up with the wackiest fundraising ideas. One lady was locked in York Dungeon for the day, people dressed up in nappies while fundraising in the high street and several nurseries held sponsored events.
On behalf of Tommy's I would like to thank everyone for taking part in Baby Day and helping babies get the best start in life that they all deserve.
