REGARDING the Government's TV and radio campaign on benefit fraudsters, while I agree that people should not get taxpayer's money by default, I consider that the main fraudster of today is the Government itself.

Pensioners are being cheated out of thousands of pounds a year due to a computer error, so they say.

180,000 old folk are getting underpaid, some missing out of thousands of pounds.

Those affected are people who paid extra, thinking that this would be paid on top of their state pension. By all accounts the state pension is adjusted to take this extra money into account.

It is said that thousands of pensioners are being cheated out of their full entitlement.

The Government is being very slow in correcting this thorny issue.

It should, in all fairness, make this priority number one. After all, how much longer have these pensioners to live? These are the very people that helped to lay the foundation of the country we live in today.

I rest my case.
