PEOPLE living in villages are being encouraged to research the history of where they live.
History expert Dr Alan Dodge is running a special workshop at Wiltshire College Lackham explaining how villagers can research the background of their hamlets.
Dr Dodge, a lecturer at Bath University, has recently completed the history of Freshford.
He will be showing people how to research their village using maps, documents, pictures, and interviews.
The lecture is at the college, on Tuesday, November 27, at 7.30pm.
Entry is £3.50 and £1.50 for students. For details, contact Andrew Davies, curator at the college museum on (01249) 466847.
