IT Services company Software Solutions, Swindon College and South Swindon MP Julia Drown popped the champagne corks at the firm's Dorcan headquarters to celebrate the finals of their art competition.

The competition, won by student Claire Philpott, was designed to give Software Solutions' offices a new look that captured their business mission and technology services.

After receiving the winning cheque for £200, Claire said: "I thoroughly enjoyed putting my illustrations together for the event.

"I tried hard to illustrate the aspects of technology with a focus on people, which is what the Software Solutions brief had identified as being most important to them."

Presenting the award, Ms Drown said: "It is really good to see a local business working with Swindon College on this kind of project. The work is so exciting and impressive all the students deserve congratulations for this fantastic achievement."

Event organiser and UK business manager Quentin Clothier said: "We wanted to create an office space that if visited, you would immediately understand what we do as a company, which is to help people and business solve technical problems.

"Swindon has a fantastic pool of artistic talent and we wanted to access that at source, so having a local competition seemed a great way of achieving that."
