WARMINSTER Town's season of woe in the First Division continued as they were hammered at the Tannery Ground on Saturday 17 November.
The score-line reflects the overall superiority that Street, managed by former Warminster boss Gerry Pearson, had throughout the game and if it had not been for saves from Lloyd Chamberlain and several shots off target the score-line would have been even higher.
The first goal came after 25 minutes when a header from Warminster's Graham Russell went high over Chamberlain for an own goal. Chamberlain made two good saves before Street went further ahead following a corner when Gareth Morgan got the final touch at the far post.
Four minutes later it was three when former Town player Jon Hayter netted with a fine strike. In the 42nd minute Street scored again when a free kick was played quickly to Pete Copeland who ran through from midfield and crossed for Morgan to score with a cracking header. In first half injury time Jon Hayter added his second when he netted following a cross from the left.
After 65 minutes Jon Hayter completed his hat-trick when the ball broke to him and he scored with a fine lob over Chamberlain.
Street's Italian wizard Guiseppe Sorbara was tripped in the box after 70 minutes. Danny Badman scored from the penalty kick. Will Flint completed the scoring after 77 minutes with a header.
Warminster manager Andy Crabtree said: "Every time we play a team with big, strapping lads we just get torn apart."
Tomorrow Warminster will be looking to close the gap on Wiltshire rivals Calne Town when they travel to Larkhall Athletic, kick off 2.30pm.
