Cirencester Town manager Ray Baverstock has dismissed the threat of relegation from the Western Division, proclaiming that a top six finish is not out of the question.

Ciren currently occupy one of the two drop zone positions alongside neighbouring Supermarine.

But after a fine 2-1 win at title-challenging Clevedon last week, Baverstock is adamant that his side can reach the division's upper echelons by May.

"You have to set targets," said the Ciren boss. "We are not entertaining thoughts of relegation, and after last week's performance, I've told the lads that they are more than capable of making the top six.

"The division is so tight, it only takes a run of four or five wins and you're right up there."

Ciren have a good chance of claiming a second successive three points when they entertain Shepshed Dynamo tomorrow.

The Leicestershire outfit are struggling for form right now, having lost seven of their last 10 outings.

But they are yet another Western Division side that, on their day, can beat the best of them.

Baverstock certainly won't be taking them lightly. He said: "It won't be easy. It's the indifferent sides that we need to start beating."

The Ciren squad is almost at full strength, with Andy Wollen returning from suspension. Nathan Holt will also be recalled. Baverstock's only doubt is Toby Clarke, who will undergo a fitness test on a back injury.

Possible Ciren line-up: Sawyer Gee, Richardson, Wollen, Minturn Terry, Belcher, Mayo, Carter Miller, Godley. Subs Blastland, Holt, Grange
