PASSENGERS travelling on First Great Western services to London Paddington or the West of England this weekend should be prepared to expect delays or cancellations because essential engineer-ing is to be carried out in the Reading area.

Passengers travelling from London Paddington to the West Country tomorrow will be diverted and will not be calling at either Newbury or Pewsey. Passengers to Pewsey will have to catch special coach services from Swindon. Passengers travelling from Reading to Newbury should use special Thames Trains replacement road and rail services.

On Sunday, trains will not be calling at Newbury, Pewsey, Westbury and Castle Cary. Westbury and Castle Cary passengers should use Wessex Trains services to Bath Spa or Bristol Temple Meads where passengers can connect to London Services or road connections to Taunton for West Country services.

Newbury passengers who wish to travel to the West Country should catch special road connection service and travel via Swindon.
