ANIMAL charity the RSPCA is in desperate need of volunteers for animal fosterers in Wiltshire.
Numbers of stray and unwanted animals are increasing in the county, and transfer to rehoming centres is not always possible.
Also as the majority of missing animal owners come forward within 24 hours to reclaim their pet, it is better if the animal is cared for locally.
Foster homes in Wiltshire are most needed in Devizes, Melksham, Warminster and Westbury.
Potential fosterers will need to be assessed by the RSPCA first for suitability.
Fosterers are unpaid but training and support will be given. The branch will cover some but not all the expenses If you are interested in becoming a fosterer call (01380) 725294.
