ROY EVANS and Peter Rowe admit they are 'at a loss' to know what on earth is going on at the County Ground although they admit that makes them no different to any Swindon Town supporter.

The pair claim they are as much in the dark as the suppporters over the club's future but are adamant that the time is long overdue for some detailed plans to be made public.

Far from being privvy to behind-the-scenes activity, Evans and Rowe are simply trying to keep the ship from sinking.

The club's director of football and chief executive are angry that nothing has been resolved since the High Court case on November 5.

Both men have turned to the Evening Advertiser to help break the silence.

Evans said: "I want to speak on behalf of the fans. I think a simple question is all that's needed. Just what on earth is going on?

"Clearly I need to know from a director of football's point of view but Peter and myself are making this plea for the fantastic supporters of this football club.

"They are being told nothing, Peter and I are being told nothing and the same is true for the other staff at the club.

"What we need and the fans need, is to be told just exactly what is on offer. Where is the vision coming from to take this club forward?"

Evans said the fans deserved better treatment. He said: "The people that follow this club are fantastic. I just wish we had some information to give them. If we had, we would."

Mr Rowe said he was growing increasingly frustrated at being unable to answer queries.

He said: "Supporters ask me what's happening, as do my own staff. What can I tell them? I can't tell them what they want to know."
