In response to Les White's letter "Pavement cycling is still an offence".
I am a parent who cycles everywhere with a three-year-old at the back and a six-year-old at the front of my bike.
I cycle to most destinations on the path, because of the thoughtless people who have cut me up and come within inches of knocking us off.
A £500 fine is nothing compared to the lives of my children. For all the mistakes that motorists make every day, it's nothing compared to riding on the path.
I do stop for everyone who needs to pass me and I do thank everyone. So get back in your car and keep your eyes on the road and not on the path.
