What a joke! At a time when Swindon Council is desperate to tear up the Front Garden for new homes it neglects decaying historical buildings such as the Mechanics' Institute, the old railway museum, the former Gilberts Hill School and the Locarno ballroom in Old Town, all of which could easily accommodate affordable housing in the form of flats.
How can Swindon ever hope to become a city when no common sense or pride in its architectural heritage seems to exist in the town?
