THE Combined side were defeated in a tough encounter against a strong Keynsham outfit.
After conceding a sloppy opening try the Wiltshire side were camped in the Keynsham half for almost all of the first half.
Their only reward was a penalty, kicked by Scott Simmons, which resulted from continuous indiscipline from the visitors.
Moments before half time a speculative kick ahead bounced awkwardly and the resultant follow up try saw the hosts go into the interval seven points behind.
The second half started much as the first with an early Keynsham try, but the combined side refused to buckle and replied with forward drive that culminated in a try for loose-head Tom Jonik.
The game continued to flow with some fine rugby from both teams and, despite two further Keynsham tries, the final score again fell to the combined team with a good series of rucks allowing the ball to be spun wide for winger Richard Hemmings to dive over for his first try.
