MICHAEL Quelch's tailoring company could hardly be further removed from the enormous international organisa-tion that is Asda Wal-Mart.
But he has created a reputation for excellence in his field.
Operating from a small unit on the Okus Industrial Estate, he has beaten far larger companies to win the contract to stitch ribbons onto special medals being awarded to servicemen and women to celebrate the Queen's Golden Jubilee.
Now he is looking to expand in order to complete the order, which is worth at least £500,000.
He deserves our congratulations for proving that on some occasions the small man can come out on top.
