BRIGHTON boss Peter Taylor said the Seagulls had faced the tough battle they were fully expecting.

The former England Under 21 and Leicester City boss was content to take a point back to the south coast.

He said: "I am delighted we secured a point for our supporters who were quite magnificent.

"They know the lads give everything they've got, home or away.

"I still don't think we're scoring enough goals.

"Thankfully, Bobby Zamora has scored a lot but the other players need to start contributing a few themselves.

"Bobby is a very good, intelligent player, a calm finisher and that's why he's scored the goals he has.

"But he is not the finished article yet."

Taylor was full of praise for Town.

He said: "It was a very honest performance.

"They suffered a big disappointment on Wednesday night so Roy (Evans) would have urged them to do something for the fans.

"All credit to them because we started well but they kept going and put us under pressure, particularly after they equalised.

"Swindon is not an easy place to come and that's why I was pleased with a point even though we were capable of coming away with all three."
