THOMAS Bromley of Seriously Ill for Medical Research (Evening Advertiser, November 20) appears to share the same view as the stag and fox hunters who seem to believe that animals are put on this planet for them to be abused and killed.
I very much doubt the truth of Mr Bromley assertions concerning the church's attitude to vivisection.
St Francis of Assisi stated: "Not to hurt our humble brethren is our first duty to them, but to stop there is not enough. We have a higher mission to be of service to them whenever they require it."
Mr Bromley, a committed Christian? He should be committed, yes. But a Christian, never.
