A new force in home building has arrived in the South West following the £632 million acquisition of Bryant Homes by Taylor Woodrow, the UK's most profitable housing and property group.
Taylor Woodrow bought Bryant Homes the prime mover behind plans for housing on Swindon's Front Garden which the High Court last week said could be developed in the spring and for which it has created a new identity.
Bryant will be the Group's leading housing brand in the UK in the rebadging of Bryant Homes and Taywood Homes under the Bryant name and Taylor Woodrow corporate identity.
This, says the company, signals a fresh approach to house building with customer service very much at the forefront.
The new visual image, which is blue and red, is an evolution of the existing Taylor Woodrow marque.
Its four figures emphasise partnership and craftsman-ship and build upon the Group's 80 years of heritage Taylor Woodrow built its first pair of houses in 1921.
Taywood Homes' develop-ments, including The Meadows at Westbury and Burghley Park at Swindon, has now been re-branded to the Bryant name. There will also be a new regional head office at Chipping Sodbury.
But Richard Bird, regional managing director, says buyers can still expect the same design innovation, quality of build and service standards.
All existing Bryant developments will also now sport the new logo.
"Our aim is to take best practice and skills from both businesses and set new standards for our industry," says Richard Bird.
"There will be a greater focus on customers and service excellence, both of which are fundamental."
The new company is also intent on meeting a growing demand for tailor-made products and services.
Such principles have already been put into practice with Bryant Design, which offers purchasers the chance to customise the interiors of their new home with a whole host of optional extras.
The enlarged Bryant Homes business now has more than 150 sites across the UK, including nearly 20 in the South West and Wales.
