POLICE are warning people to be on their guard against con men after two men approached a householder in Pinehurst posing as policemen and asked for money for a fictitious warrant but left when they were refused.
Police have advised that all officers carry identity cards and if anyone is unsure as to the identity of an officer, they should contact their police station.
Anyone with information about the incident should contact Westlea Police Station on 528111.
