DANNY INVINCIBLE and Town fan William Parsons have enjoyed a trip down memory lane.

Town's Aussie ace writes a weekly column for the Evening Advertiser and earlier this season decided to use one of his articles to say 'thank you' to the supporters.

He decided one lucky fan should win the shirt he was wearing on the afternoon of his 'wonder' strike against Peterborough last season.

Mr Parsons, 31, of Old Town, was picked out of the hat and received the shirt from Danny outside the offices of the Evening Advertiser.

He said: "It was a special goal on a memorable day.

"I remember even the Peterborough fans were pleased for Danny because it put their rivals, Cambridge in more danger of being relegated.

"Who knows how valuable the shirt could be if Danny goes on to make a name for himself in the Premiership."

Danny said: "It was a special goal and one the fans still talk about.

"I'll certainly never forget it and it played a part in making sure we stayed up."

Don't forget to read the Danny Invincible column every Saturday in the Evening Advertiser.
