FEW guests at school prize days know their way around the buildings as speaker Kathryn Nokaes at Pewsey Vale School's speech day.
The school continued its tradition of inviting former pupils to return as guests for its prize day, and Miss Noakes, who left the school in 1986, returned last Tuesday.
She gained a first class BSc honours degree in hotel and catering management at the University of Surrey.
She now works for British Airways where, she told students, she has had a fascinating and diverse career with the responsibility for catering contracts for planes bound for America, including Concorde.
Miss Noakes, whose family still lives locally, spent the day in school attending lessons with students and meeting the staff.
Headteacher Judith Plante Cleall said she had every confidence the students who received certificates and prizes from Miss Noakes would be inspired to achieve in their own personal fields.
Guests were welcomed by the chairman of governors, Roger Strickland.
In her address, Mrs Plante Cleall thanked all the community sponsors who had given prizes, and students Ella Bull, James Earle and Carla Swatton, added their contributions.
