CORSHAM'S Steve Perrin has been reappointed as the Wiltshire county cricket captain for the 2002 season.
Wicketkeeper Perrin, 30, missed a number of minor counties matches in the summer through injury and was delighted to be asked to lead the side for the sixth year in succession.
He said: "I was very pleased to be asked and it is always an honour to captain the side. I'm looking forward to next season.
He is hoping injury will not blight his progress next year and is looking for Wiltshire to improve on this year's showing in the Minor Counties championship after narrowly avoiding the dreaded wooden spoon last year.
He said: "You don't want to miss games through injury and the problems I had are well behind me now.
"Every year you know sides like Devon and Cheshire will be very strong. The availability is a massive thing for us and we will always struggle with that."
