Highworth Town picked up another three valuable Premier Division points when they defeated fellow strugglers Almondsbury Town 3-0 on their own ground.
Brimming with confidence after their success over Didcot last week, Highworth looked much the better side in a goal-less first half, with goal chances falling to Warren Fuller, Peter Moss and Wayne Cleverley.
After the break the Wiltshire side continued to dominate the game, and ten minutes into the half Fuller was on hand to open the scoring after a good ball in from the right.
The Almondsbury goalkeeper then made a series of good saves before Wayne Cleverely added a second on 78 minutes, followed by a third five minutes from time.
Highworth boss Chris Seagraves was delighted with the victory.
"I think we must have had 26 attempts at goal and completely dominated the game.
"Hopefully I think we may have turned the corner."
Wootton Bassett did well to pick up a point at Carterton in a no score draw.
The visitors were on the back foot from the first whistle and Luke Sharps was forced to clear off the line after 60 seconds after goalkeeper Richard Stevens' clearance hit a Carterton forward.
A minute later a Dean Moss drive shaved the Bassett crossbar as the home side began strongly.
Carterton's effective route one approach from the huge kicking of goalkeeper Nick Heritage was causing Bassett a host of problems and John McMahon missed a glorious chance to give his side the lead just past the half hour mark.
Bassett almost took the lead against the run of play on the stroke of half time when Stuart Lamont's fierce shot hit a Carterton defender on the goal line.
Lewis twice went close for Carterton in the second period and the home side also hit the post in the closing stages as they pushed for the win. But the Bassett defence held firm to earn a share of the spoils.
Fairford Town moved up a place to fourth spot after their 2-0 win over Southall Town.
League leaders North Leigh scored the only goal of the game at Tuffley and second in the table Yate Town brought their goals for tally to 49 after beating Cirencester Academy 4-0.
In Division One leaders Hook Norton were beaten for the first time losing 3-0 at home to Yardley United.
Second-placed Purton were unable to take advantage however because they were beaten 4-2 at Winterbourne.
The home side raced to a three goal lead in the first 35 minutes with two goals from Elvins and one from Moxham.
Purton pulled a goal back from the penalty spot five minutes before the break, Martin Thompson taking the kick after a home defender had handled in the area. Almost immediately the home side struck again through Rhodes to give them a 4-1 interval lead.
Manager Alan Clarke then rang the changes during the interval and Purton looked more comfortable against the home side's direct approach in the second half. Purton pulled a goal back through David Webb, but failed to add to their total. After a slow start Shrivenham are beginning to climb the table and ran out easy 5-1 winners away to Malmesbury Vics. Green, Sutton, Peters, Pugh and Lake were on target for Shrivenham, with Griffi scoring a consolation for the Vics.
