THE Queen's Jubilee Baton Relay, which is touring the United Kingdom as a prelude to the Commonwealth Games in Manchester, will visit Salisbury on June 20 next year.
The relay - involving 5,000 runners - will pass through 500 towns, covering more than 5,000 miles and taking 50 days to complete.
The relay will start on June 6 in Northern Ireland and end its epic journey on July 25, when the Queen will remove her message to the Commonwealth from the baton and read it to the assembled Common-wealth nations at the opening ceremony of the Games.
The route was announced on Monday by Prince Edward, Earl of Wessex.
