UNEMPLOYED Mark Bradshaw, who was found dead at his home in Pinehurst Road, was never "quite the same man" since the death of his much loved brother 12 years previously, an inquest heard.
Wiltshire and Swindon deputy coroner William Bache said Mr Bradshaw, was on a downward spiral and the situation was made worse by having job problems and difficulties with his long time partner Catherine Evans, who left with their daughter Jade after he had an affair.
Mr Bradshaw, 29, was also suffering from gout, said Mr Bache.
He was found by Catherine at his home on September 9 this year, the inquest in Swindon was told.
The house was barricaded at both front and rear, and Catherine had to break in with Mr Bradshaw's mother, Janet Fitzpatrick.
A note, meant to be found after his death, said "I needed help".
Cause of death was hanging. A verdict that Mark killed himself was recorded.
