Members of the Living Well Health Club jumped and splashed their way to raising hundreds of pounds for charity.
The gym, based at the Hilton Hotel, Great Western Way, held a sponsored aquathon, which raised £641 for Prospect Hospice.
Becky Ashberry, health club manager, said: "There were 22 ladies who took part and they all had great fun. They did really well and it was a good laugh.
"Four members of staff took half hour lessons for three hours. The ladies were allowed to take short breaks for drinks and pieces of fruit to keep up energy levels.
"We chose Prospect as it is their 21st anniversary this year. But we support different charities each time."
Jonny Husband, senior health and fitness instructor, has been working at the gym for three years.
He said: "I took one of the lessons and they all did well. We tend to do charity events throughout the year and hopefully will be arranging another in the New Year."
"Aqua aerobics is basically aerobics performed in water. We play dance music at a steady pace and people really enjoy doing it.
"Over the three years I've been here, this event has to be the best since we raised the most money."
Gillian Richardson, community fundraiser from Prospect Hospice, received the cheque from the gym members and said the money would be put to good causes.
