TWO hooded burglars made off from Securicor Information Systems empty-handed on Monday, November 26, after attempting to break in while staff were still at work.
The would-be raiders set off a burglar alarm as they tried to force a window at the firm's premises at Methuen Park, Chippenham, which houses thousands of pounds of software and computers, at about 9.45pm.
A member of Securicor's 24-hour security team raced to the scene, arriving in time to see the pair running away.
David White of Securicor said: "Apart from our 24-hour security, we often have people working late and at weekends so the building is never unattended and on this particular evening people were still in the building as the break-in was being attempted."
Police spokesman Steve Coxhead said officers would continue to make inquiries and appealed for any witnesses to come forward.
