TEENAGE fairground worker Joby Farrell was taken to hospital on Friday, November 23, after being crushed between two lorries in Chippenham High Street.
The accident happened at about 10am, when 18-year-old Mr Farrell was helping set up Jenning's Fun Fair in preparation for the town's Christmas lights switch-on event.
Fire crews were called to the scene but by the time they arrived Mr Farrell had been freed and helped on to the pavement by his colleagues.
He was taken by ambulance to Bath's Royal United Hospital with a suspected broken thigh. His cousin John Jennings said: "Nobody really saw what happened but I think a trailer must have run away and he was trapped between that and the lorry. "
He was treated in hospital but found to be only suffering from brusing.
His grandmother said when she first heard about the accident it brought back painful memories of when a young girl from the Jennings family was killed in an accident in Devizes six years ago.
"We are all relieved and thankful he is alright," she said.
