SCORES of Swindon people are to shun their beds next Friday, as the Threshold Housing Link charity holds its annual sponsored sleepout.
The money raised by those who brave the chill outside Immanuel Church in Upham Road will go toward the upkeep of the Culvery Court homeless hostel.
The hostel gives people not only a warm bed, but also the means and the self respect to move into their own accommodation. More than 200 people were looked after there last year, but nearly 500 requests for help had to be turned down.
Culvery Court needs to raise £10,000 this year, and there is still time to join the sleepout.
