TOURS around Wadworth bewery in Devizes have paid off for a Wiltshire charity to the tune of £2,385.
In September each year the brewery offers £5 tours to show visitors every aspect of the brewing process at the historic firm.
The money from the tours is donated to the Devizes-based Wiltshire and Swindon Community Foundation, which is Wadworth's nominated charity.
It, in turn, gives grants to many good causes, including the Devizes and District Opportunity Group which runs a centre for children with special needs.
The grant was used to provide a special needs playleader, and to help with transport to the centre for the children of low income families.
Charles Bartholomew, chairman and managing director of Wadworth, said the Wiltshire and Swindon Community Foundation was a worthy charity.
He said: "The Wiltshire and Swindon Community Foundation receives the majority of Wadworth's charitable giving as it undertakes much good work through the county and identifies those organisations who really do need support."
Mr Bartholomew presented the cheque from the tour proceeds totalling £2,385.71 to Kate Hunter from the community foundation.
