TWO chefs who specialise in using local produce have had their culinary expertise recognised in the South West Food and Tourism Awards.
Fosse Farmhouse's owner and chef, Caron Cooper, has been specialising in traditional English cookery for 12 years.
Undercover judges visited her bed and breakfast establishment in Nettleton and Caron said she was shocked when she heard she had won.
"I didn't notice anyone at all. But I am really happy to have won, we need as much help as we can get with tourism the way it is at the moment," said Caron.
Lucknam Park Hotel won the Wiltshire award in the hotel category. The hotel already has an RAC gold ribbon and the Relais & Chateaux award.
Managing director Harry Murray said: "We are delighted to receive this award. My chef Robin Zavou and his brigade have made every effort to use local produce and clearly this has been recognised."
Television personality Noel Edmonds presented the awards.
