THE Royal United Hospital Wiltshire Hopper bus this week picked up its 1,000th passenger only months after it was launched.
The scheme is for people without a car or access to public transport or for those who want to avoid heavy traffic in Bath.
Ian White, Wiltshire County Council's passenger transport co-ordination manager, said: "Since the Wiltshire Hopper was launched, the number of people using the service has grown and grown and we are delighted with the positive feedback."
