A MAN from Warminster has finished sixth in the world's toughest rowing race.
Will Mason teamed up with Tim Thurman, from Grimsby, to tackle The Ward Evans Atlantic Rowing Challenge, to complete the 2,900 nautical mile route from Tenerife to Barbados.
The team, Bright Spark, arrived in Port St Charles at 01.37 GMT on Tuesday, just over an hour behind fifth-placed Comship.com. They completed the crossing in 50 days, 15 hours and 22 minutes.
Will and Tim said they were very pleased with their position and were looking forward to celebrating with friends and family.
