Cirencester Town are bracing themselves for another 'Big Day Out', as the Dr Martens club prepare to travel to non-League giants Kingstonian tomorrow.

Ciren have already enjoyed one glamour trip to Tamworth this season, and manager Ray Baverstock and assistant Brian Hughes hope the experience will stand their charges in good stead ahead of the second round FA Trophy tie.

Assistant boss Hughes said: "The Tamworth game was one of our best displays of the season. We always seem to raise our game for the big occasion."

Kingstonian certainly have a superb pedigree in the competition, after lifting the Trophy in both the 1998/99 and 1999/2000 seasons.

But the current Kingstonian side is a pale shadow of the Trophy winning squad, and the K's certainly haven't set the Isthmian League alight after relegation from the Conference last season.

Manager Bill Williams a replacement for Woking bound Geoff Chapple has seen his side struggling at the wrong end of the Ryman Premier Division, although a recent return to form has seen William's steady the ship, and the K's currently sit 11th.

Ciren though, are in fine form, and five wins from six outings have pulled them clear of the Dr Martens' drop zone.

Hughes concedes that the little Western Division club couldn't have chosen a better time to play the non-League aristocrats.

He said: "Given our current league form, we have a good chance.

"We are obviously underdogs, but I wouldn't be surprised if we went there and won."

With recent absentees Dave Gee and Nathan Holt now fully fit again, Baverstock's only injury concern is goalkeeper Kevin Sawyer.

The highly-rated shot-stopper sustained an ankle injury against Shepshed last Saturday, so former Academy keeper Kevin Scrivens stands by.

Probable line-up: Scrivens, Minturn, Richardson, Wollen, Gee, Mayo, Horgan, Holt, Terry, Carter, Miller.
