Coleview's under 14 girls made light of their player shortage to defeat Denham United 4-1 in their latest Vale & District Girls League outing.
Coleview travelled with just 10 players but took a first-half lead when leading scorer Nicola Watts broke through a static defence to slot home. Denham struck back immediately but Laura Stallard battled in midfield to prevent Denham taking a grip on the game and it was Carly Smith added a second for a 2-1 half-time lead.
In the second half Katie Gumm organised Coleview's defence confidently, while at the other end Stallard hit the post and then saw a free-kick sail narrowly over the bar.
Watts had a second goal disallowed for offside before player-of-the-match Chantal Lovell set up the third, Carly Smith tapping in the rebound after a save by the keeper.
Watts completed a fine display with the fourth as Coleview stayed joint top with Southampton.
n Coleview Under 12s defeated Caversham 4-2 in their division, after the Reading side had twice taken the lead.
Coleview equalised when a pass from Sam Masters split the defence and Stephanie Lewis ran on to score.
Caversham retook the lead but Coleview levelled again through Lisa Coe.
In the second half, player-of-the-match Abi Curton, Jenny Jones and captain Kerrie Keene won good possession for the visitors and Lewis, completing her hat-trick, eventually gave them a comfortable revenge victory.
