CHILDREN from Courtmills pre-school had a great time finding out how the postal system works.
The children visited the Trowbridge sorting office as part of their week themed on celebrations.
They saw for themselves what happens when they post their Christmas or birthday cards.
Play leader, Elaine Varnam, said: "The children thoroughly enjoyed it and they actually got to meet a postman called Pat, which they thought was great."
The children, aged three and four, helped to unload arriving post and sort it into compartments.
They posted their own letter and followed the process it would go through before arriving back at school.
Mrs Varnam said: "Everyone there was really helpful and nice and it was a really worthwhile experience for the children."
