TROWBRIDGE Museum's education officer has written a book to help Wiltshire children learn about the past.
Katherine White, winner of a Sharing Museum Skills award, has been working in Salisbury on a project to attract more youngsters to the museum.
She has written a book for infant school children to develop their reading. Local artist David Bennet painted the illustrations.
Mrs White said: "It has been a real challenge, but everyone has been enormously helpful. I hope Salisbury schools will continue to come in and use the stories after my placement is finished as they provide a stimulating service to a fantastic museum."
The secondment, which finishes on December 21, was made possible by funds from the Millennium Commission.
