SNOWBOARDING enthusiasts will have a specialist store to visit in Old Town when Tower 12 opens its doors at the weekend.
The new business, at 96 Victoria Road, will sell snowboards and accessories, skateboards and surf-ware.
The owners are partners Lucy Mason and Craig Smith who live in Marlborough.
They both used to work for Burmah Castrol in Swindon, but when it was taken over by British Petroleum, Craig decided to take some time off and went snowboarding in France for six months.
Lucy said: "I was made redundant earlier this year and decided I wanted to do something on my own.
"When Craig got back, we thought it was a good idea to open up the shop. Although we now live in Marl-borough, we both grew up in Swindon and we are delighted to be based in Old Town.
"It will be great to open the doors for the first time on Saturday and we are having some special T-shirts printed to give away to our first customers."
Tower 12 will be open from 10am until 5pm, Monday to Saturday.
